The Journey To Phuket!!!

After hearing horror stories about the buses that run down the south of Thailand, (where people have there bags stolen, and numerous things going missing from bags downstairs as you travel upstairs on a tourist buses), we set off to Bangkok's Southern Bus Terminal, to book a goverment bus to Phuket instead!
The bus was AMAZING!
It was in a completley different league to those that you travel on from the tourist traps! And for a similar ticket price too, we were really pleased!
Why we hadn't done this before...we didn't know!!!
The bus only had 24 seats onboard, fully re-clining chairs, a driver that dressed so smartly me mistook him for a pilot, food and drink on tap, and a stuardess!
We knew we were definalty on to a winner!
We were over the moon when we were then also told, that it would only take 12 hours to reach Phuket (unlike the 15 hour long bus trips, that the backpacker buses take - due to lenghty unnessacary stops by the driver and his crew)!
So last night, we enjoyed a rather pleasant journey down to Phuket!
When we arrived, we booked ourselves into a hostel called Thalong Guesthouse!
It is really nice here. The rooms are super cheap, with hot showers, fantastic art-work and huge rooms! Bargain!!!
We are a bit upset about the weather though!
It has rained solidly since we've been here!
We met a British couple this morning, who has just arrived back from Krabi and Phi Phi Island, who even mentioned monsoons coming! Ouch!
We were hoping for Phuket to be a short stepping stone between Bangkok and the Southern Islands, but now we are here, it seems we may have to wait a few days for the weather to cheer up! 😞 !
