After a 6 and a 1/2 hour bus journey, we arrived in the amazing Siem Reap!!! By God...are we glad we came here!!!
The atmoshere here is just amazing. The hotels are georgoues and cost pennies to stay in, the people are soooo friendly and the Angkor temples are only minutes away......But the best bit about this town is by far.... Bar Street!!!
As you can imagine Bar Street is packed full of pubs, bars and restaurants....and it caters for everyone!!! You can find just about every type of food here, from the traditional Khymer dishes to indian food, seafood, italian, the list goes on and on!!!
Our favourite bar/restaurant is by far the ''Red Piano'' bar!!! The bar is very famous, due to a certain celebrity who visited here back in 2000!?!
Who else .... but the amazing Angelina Jolie!?!
Whilst she was shooting the film Tomb Raider at the Angkor temples here in Siem Reap, the crew would often come to the Red Piano Bar for food and drinks!!!
The bar is covered with pictures of the crew and staff together, and Angelina even initiated her own cocktail for this buzzing bar, which she called The Tomb Raider Cocktail....sooooo
being great fans of hers, we of course tried it!!!
The mix of Cointreau, lime juice and tonic water in the beverage, made the perfect cocktail. We couldn't help going back for seconds!!!
We are definalty going to chill in Siem Reap for a few days!!!!!

This looks like a very Westernised sort of place - and delighted to see that the Tomb Raider is served in a brandy glass, and not a MK42 cartridge style bucket or PS2 controller shaped receptical! Enjoy the next couple of days, wish I was with you, really fed up with the rain and cold in the UK. Much love, mumxx
