WonderPark ... A.K.A ... Wonder - where all the people have gone - Park!!!
After seeing many brochures, and being told by many locals about how fantastic Nha Trang's local themepark 'WonderPark' was, we decided to hire a moterbike and visit it!!!
We should have followed our instinct and turnd back on arrival!!! As soon we arrived in the car park, there only seemed to be 2 bikes parked up...intreagued however we both payed for our tickets and ventured into the park!!!
Woooowwww...what a shock!!! It was like a scene out of silent hill....Completly deserted!!!
The park is streched out over miles of land, and every so often we would come across a ride. Unfortunalty we were to big to get on them!!! The ladybird ride was particulay pretty thought!!!
After what seemed like miles of walking around, we were approached and both sold tickets in which you were intitled to your own electric go Kart....so we were told!!!
We both started getting exciting, picturing these small, nippy elecrtic cars with super fast engines that would enable us to drive freely around the park!!!
We really thought we were in for a winner!!! What sounds like more fun, than rinsing around a deserted theme park in your own kart!?!?!
Yeah ..... we'd been a bit mislead!!!!
When we got to the karting section of the park, we discovered that it was in fact a bright pink, rusty electric golf kart that carried 12 people not 1 (so was quite big), had a flat tyre and a driver who looked like he'd just downed a bottle of whiskey!!!
Us being the adventuras and open minded type, thought just for a laugh we would go on it anyway, and hitched a ride to the themeparks beach!!!
We were shocked by the exileration the pink kart gave us. The driver was amazing, and took the racing line around corners at a whole whooping 3 and 1/2 miles an hours...at one point we could of sworn our vision went blurry from the incredibly fast speed we were doing!!!
However, after a couples of minutes we soon began to feel like it had all been worth while visiting, as when we arrived at the beach ... we were speachless!!!
The beach was tucked away in a small alcove, and it had the whitest sand and greenest sea ever!!! We chill-axed here for the entire day, and enjoyed having the whole beach to ourselves!!!
We felt like V.I.P's!!!!
So on the whole we discovered, if your going to visit WonderPark - go for the beach...Not the rides!!!!
