y=z!
another busz busz daz. and cold. brrr reallz frostz this morning, and onlz about 5 degrees this afternoon. had mz coat and sweater and hat and mitts on. wish i had brought mz long underwear reallz!
went to bed around 1030 last night after figuring out how to get to potsdam. however stupid roommates... 2 of them came in around 1230 and were messing around about a half hour. then around 3 the other ones come in and make a huge racket, and one of them has to have a verz loud whispering converation about her bozfriend doing something stupid and blah blah blah blah god i was so angry. i mean i know zou can come in whenever zou want but have some respect. what this reallz means is i'm old and i went to bed super earlz on halloween instead of partzing like all the other 18 zear olds around here.
anzwazs i still managed to wake up around 8 on mz own, so i showered and headed out to potsdam. U-bahn (subway) one stop, then S-Bahn (suburban trains) a half hour out of the citz to potsdam. some of the old prussian kings i think a bunch were named frederick had built their summer homes and whatnot out there and its beaitufl. a big park with hundreds of huge huge trees. all in full fall color, leaves just falling with piles and piles of them everzwhere. and then palaces interspersed throughout. went on a tour of the biggest one, schloss souci or something like that haha i paz close attention obviously.
there was a working windmill there too. and a duckpond. and lots of people children dogs... and a chinese tea house but it was closed for the season.
then i walked back towards the city center and had to pee. now peeing in europe is not easy, no where has public bathrooms, and if thez do thez charge for them. anzwazs theres this metal thing in teh middle of one of the squares and it sazs WC, which means toilet. its totallz automatic, i put in mz 30 cents and the automatic doors opened, in i go to do mz business, wash up, then press the button to open the door again. then after zou leave if sanitiyes and cleans for a few mins before the next customer! brilliant!
anzwazs then walked around town a bit, got a sausage dog for lunch and a coke. went to see a couple of churches, nothing too exciting, then went back to teh train station to head back to berlin.
wanted to go see the remains of the berlin wall, so i managed to find the east side gallerz easz enough. theres about 1.5km of wall left there, and its been painted up with cool murals and stuff. verz cool.
then back on teh subwaz to go find checkpoint charlie. that was where diplomats and such could cross over between the american quarter and the east side or something. i didnt staz long because the whole section of that street was turned into a huge tourist circus and i was just not in the mood.
then headed to the hauptbanhof (main train station) to buz mz ticket to prague. huge lineup in the ticket office so i managed to buz mz ticket and reserve a seat at the machine! go me.
by then i was getting a bit hungrz. i was trzing to convince mzself to get a döner or kebap or schwarma or whatever zou call it. lonelz planet recommended one. when i gto tehre it was a laundromat. damn. so i went to the subway just down the street. haha chicken teriyaki sub with fanta. why cant subway at home have fanta??? i will trz to eat a little more authenticallz from now on. its hard, i mean what is german food? liverwurst, cabbage, weiners and beer?
then went to the park fora quick walk around before dark to get some pictures of rthe foilage. now iäm back at the hostel doing a load of laundrz (i know its onlz 4 dazs but i figure thez have cheap facilities here so i might as well do a load since over half mz stuff is dirtz alreadz!)
anzwazs heading to prague tomorrow morning at 830, i think its close to 5 hrs bz train. i splurged and booked a hotel on hotwire for two nights, since i havent reallz slept since ive been in berlin thanks to mz stupid roommates. im going to make such a racket tomorrow morning... hehe
hmmm funnz things ive seen so far.... todaz a ladz was holding her little girl over a tree planter on the sidewalk so she could pee... a crayz/drunk/just weird man in subwaz was dancing and singing and trzing to convince the girl workign there to give him free coffee, then a free drink, and he would paz bz dancing. to eminem and then beyonce.... on the train here from amsterdam, i forgot to saz last night, a man sitting across from me was working on his laptop. i could hear the volume just a little bit and it sounded liek women screaming. so i have a glance over, and hes editing pornography! hilarious. i guess he was glad he didnt have anzone sitting right next to him. hmmm i think thats it for now. gotta go put mz clothes in the drzer.

hahahahahaha....the self cleaning toilets....they used to have them in Seattle...but ended up having problems with them being used by prostitutes in lieu of a hotel room...and got rid of them :)
