Hi all,
Yesterday we walked and walked and walked. The map of Prague looks HUGE but it is actually pretty easy just to use walking as the only means of transportation. I hope that all my walking will keep the extra pounds I am sure to have gained the past 8 days.

There was some cycling event that was pretty big going on in Old Town Square. The streets were blocked off and we saw kids and adults biking through it. We couldnt figure out what exactly it was. There were some young girls singing on stage and playing guitar and drums and my all time favorite song was played! ACDC - you shook me all night long! I loved it. They only sang the chorus in English and everything else in Czech. Great stuff. I even air drummed.

We went over to Hradcany and Mala Strana quadrant yesterday. There is a large park - Letna Park- that was pretty empty except for a lot of graffiti. Would be scary at night. There are Buckeyes everywhere! Frank pelted me with some!! Great views of old town from the park and many picture moments.

Greg found a farmers market with fruits and veggies and lots of suveniers. We got our shopping out of the way. Greg got ripped off the night before by buying at a shop and not haggling enough.

I sent out some postcards to some lucky people....

Last night Gina arrived coming from Venice. Poor thing had been up since 6am but still managed to go to a pub crawl with us!! Earlier in the week we met some nice Americans who come over here for 6 months out of the year and put on one of the many pub crawls offered. So we decided to join them for 400kc - approx 25 dollars. We got a t-shirt and beer for an hour, plus shots at each bar we went to after that..... good times. We met some nice people and played seated flip cup! haha. Frank managed to take his shirt off again.

This afternoon we have a bike tour followed by dinner and another pub crawl! Hopefully we will get to see some new bars.

We still need to see the Prague Castle as well, and on Friday we will be going on a boat at night for dinner our last hurrah.

The place we are staying is perfect. It is minutes from Old Town and the huge city center. It also has a washing machine, but no dryer. We have been able to do some laundry. I vow only to use vrbo.com or homeaway.com for vacation from now on...

Going to go back to the condo and wake the lazy low lifes up.

Love and miss you,
Mamie
