Today it was hot at 27C, which is surprising since it is Autumm up here, so we decided to go to the beach.

The beach was at a place called Scheveningen. To get there we rode our bikes to central station and took them to this HUGE place where you park your bikes which could hold about 1000 bikes, and I wouldn't be exaggerating!!! then we caught a train to a place called Den Haag and finally we took a tram to the beach.

On the way we saw a photo of the beach and it was absolutely packed, but luckely when we got there it wasn't nearly as full. THe first thing we did was play a game of Rugby (Dad and Sam take on ,Harry and I) which was great fun then went to have a swim. It was very cold but we soon warmed up. We raced each other to Dad then to Harry etc... When I raced Dad I tried to grab on to his leg then Harry ran away from me so I couldn't tag him. In the end we decided to go to the pier.

When we got to the pier it was amazing! It had two levels, an outside area and an indoor area with shops. We walked along and then went to this place where you do bungy jumping so it was really high. when we got up there the view was great and Dad let us put in 50c to use one of the binocular things.

Finally we went to the aquarium which was great. We also got these quiz books for these questions dotted around the aquarium about sea creatures. Unfortunately though Harry beat me. We also got to see the feeding of the stingrays and cat fish. This was good as the guy gave us some zuccini to feed the cat fish ourselves, the only problem was that they spoke in Dutch. As well as that we heard the guy say Steve Erwin a couple of times while he was talking about the sting rays which was interesting.

Finally we got back to our house at about quarter to 6. This was my favourite day of our holiday so far!!!

I'm Jealous
27C, how wonderful. I wish that it was 27 here. It is supposed to be getting warmer this weekend, but windy. I'd like it to be warm enough to go to the beach! Yesterday was the first day in the new building. I will email you a couple of photos when I have downloaded them. It was all very exciting, even though we weren't there for very long because we had Wakakirri as well. Wakakirri went well and it was heaps of fun. I was really proud of how well everyone did. I am sure it would have been even better if you were there Tom! Tomorrow is summer sport round robin. I will be at the basketball stadium hearing basketballs being bounced all day long! Your trip sounds fantastic. The aquarium sounded interesting. Pity you couldn't understand what was being said. Perhaps by the time you leave, you will be able to understand some Dutch! Looking forward to the next episode of your trip! Sue
