Two months already! He gets cuter by the day! Lots of smiles (although not if he spots a camera pointing at him) and he's really chatting away now, he's had interesting long conversations with both sets of grandparents on the phone!

Last weekend there was an airshow on base. Sadly the weather was atrocious, so we didn't stay long, we just caught the Typhoon (Eurofighter) and the Red Arrows. The Typhoon was incredibly agile, but incredibly LOUD!! Right overhead with full afterburners, the ground was shaking with the noise. We'd bought some baby ear defenders for J, but in the event lent them to a friend's little boy. J, completely unfazed, slept through the whole thing in his pram, waking only once they'd finished and the noise had died down! The sound of jets generally has a calming effect on him, but this was quite something!

Daddy's sister and hubby popped by on Monday night to meet J and pick up some tips before their own wee one arrives at the end of October. Today we met up with them again in Aberdeen for lunch, and J was roped in to test drive some of the latest prams, he's a mini Stig (from Top Gear)!
