London Eye Went into Southwark with Claire and Charlie and bought a transport travel pass. Wandered from Southwark to Waterloo Station and then onto South Bank (Thames). Walked past Westminster bridge and then back to the London Eye. Had a coffee while waiting for it to open, bought a ticket and took a ‘flight’ on the eye (their words, not mine). Crossed over the Jubilee bridge, up Northumberland to Trafalgar Square. Its like being in a real life monopoly game. Got some photos of King George IV and some of Nelsons Column before having a look through the National Gallery. Some paintings from as far back as the 13th century. Paintings by Rembrandt, Van Gogh, Cezanne, Monet, Roubens, Poussin to name a few. Had some lunch in the Gallery Café and then onto the Admiralty Arch on the way down to the horse guards, 10 Downing St, Big Ben, Parliament Square, Houses of Parliament, St Margarets Cathedral, Westminster Abbey. Took a long stroll through St James’s Park to the Queen Victoria Memorial. Visited the Queen at Buckingham Palace and walked through Green Park. I caught my first tube from Green Park through Westminster and Waterloo stations, and disembarked at Southwark Station. Crossed the

View from London Eye road and caught number 63 home to East Dulwich.
