Well we have made it to Ubud (Bali), been here now for a few days, its so Arty and the architecture something else.

Since last I wrote in Gili Air my friend Cheryl has joined me and has not run away yet, lol. We had a week together enjoying the sun and I managed to fit in a load of diving and a few sharks! (very beautiful).

From Gili Air we boarded a boat on our komodo adventure, 4 days and 4 nights aboard our little boat with around 12 others sleeping on deck - oh how our bottoms ached by the end of it all, but what an adventure!
We saw flying foxes, lots of komodo dragons and beautiful snorkeling sites including wonderful breakfasts of white bread with condensed milk (yup that was our spread!) dinner and lunches were good though. We finished our little adventure in Flores with one night to stay (and another 2 dives) before heading back over land and ferries bound for Bali and Ubud (the trip 36 hours in total!) We arrived in Ubud in the pouring rain hunting for a place to stay - eventually found somewhere and I must say I think we struck gold!

So far in Ubud we have enjoying the thrills of a few mojitos, much retail therapy, a balinese dance lesson, a reggae night where they managed to reggae up any tune you may of ever heard! a yoga lesson (just me), museum trips and rice paddy views and have a spa session booked for tomorrow - such a hard life!

So this is Bex and Chel signing out for now, a few days left here which we have planned viewing some professional dances and temple trips, before we head on to Java for a short week and Singapore.
Big hug to you all.xx

😊

Hi Becky, Finally found your travel notes. Yay!! This is Chris - we met on a dive in the Gili Islands. Delighted to hear that you were able to see sharks on your dives - how did that go? I share the sentiment about Ubud - it's a magical place. It was nice to meet you and I hope you continue to enjoy your travels. Best, Chris
