well I'm a little behind (to say the least) but here is a little update. Me and my friend spent a few days (6-11th August) in Singapore before she went - Chel if you're reading this - miss ya girl!

We stayed in an area called little India and wow (not that I've been to India) it gave me an inckling into how it may be, although cleaner and not so many people.
We visited a couple of Indian Temples all extremely colourful and adorned with so many figures and gods. There were various spiritual activities taking place run by the temple priests all dressed in orange robes tied at their waists and white paint on their faces. We quite often had a lunch around the corner from our hostel (The Prince of Wales - a great place to stay, thanks for suggesting it Rebecca) at a local Indian corner cafe - Roti and curry - yumm, still crave it now 😊

We visited China Town and amongst a fair bit of shopping visited the temple of a thousand buddahs and I seriously think theres at least 1000.We also had the obligitory (or at least we decided it was) singapore sling and ate there a couple of times - dim sum and rice at the market.

We took a day visit to Singapore zoo and the night safari - 12 hours of gentle walking. Wow what a zoo - if you can call it that, the animals are as free as they can possibly be and you walk around viewing them from underneath, on raised walkways and in covered avaries, then around a different area at night. I had my photo taken with the orangutans - woohoo - love em and saw the manatees for the first time ever.

Had a lovely time in Singapore (even if the drinks a little on the pricey side)
