Robbery in Buenos aires is not unheard of. It´s almost suprising if it hasn´t happened to you. Yesterday, as we sat outside at a cafe, in the city, full daylight, sea of people going about there day around you, I had my very first ENCOUNTER and not of the third kind. I felt a lil tug, not the vibrations you feel because a bus is passing by and not the stomping feet of hundreds of passerbys but the tug of someone or something tugging at your pack. At, first I didn´t pay any attention...but finally I gave into to seeing what on earth that tugging was. AS I quickly turned my back...I see two well dressed (actually handsome MEN) standing right behind my seat, reaching for the zipper of my bag...my reaction WAS LAUGHTER...laughter because I caught them off guard, laughter because that´s all I knew to do...with confusion in their faces and with my Bousterious roaring laughter, as I looked in their faces I said outloud to my friends...¨look, they were trying to rob me¨....and continued to laugh...thinking I was crazy, the robbers looked even more confused and actually ran away. Thank goodness without any of my stuff. Luck was on my side....this time!
