Thunder and Lightning!

Yesterday, it was really cloudy so we spent a couple of hours on the beach, then it started spitting so we went back to our bungalow. The sky went black so we thought there would be a storm so I sat in my hammock waiting. There was a bit of rain, not a lot though so I was quite disappointed.

Then it started pouring down, the roar of the rain was so loud me and Matt had to shout to each other to be able to hear. Then the thunder and lightning started, only a bit at first then it seemed to move away. Then it came back for round 2 and we watched the most intense thunder and lightning storm I've ever seen! It was mad! Loads and loads of sheet lightning that was really bright, it made you close your eyes it was so bright or it would hurt your eyes. It was especially scary because we were in a wooden hut with a tin roof! And the thunder was proper loud and bassy, the whole bungalow was vibrating. Then when the storm was right above us, it was terrifying!! It was like explosions directly above us - really bright and loud. I was scared I started crying.

The storm went on for TWO HOURS. And the rain went on for about an hour after. It was mad. It was still hot though, and today it's hot again.

We went kayaking this morning, went to another little island near Ko Chang, but whinged loads because his arms hurt, so we came back. The sky looks quite dark again so we might have another storm.
