at the massage place
After we returned from our Jungle trek and had long amazing showers, we headed out on the town with our new Italian friend. We went for dinner, and thai massages! It was our first traditional massage, and we were a little worried at first because we heard that they could be a little rough, but it turns out to be totally relaxing! It's so different than anything we've experiences before, it involves a lot of stretching and deep massage using their elboew, forearms and even feet! They believe in a energy line that runs throughout the body, and they work along this line to increase energy flow, it's amazing, you actually feel your body grow warm and relax. After we stumbled out of the massage place we headed to the Night Markets. I can't even begin to explain how crazy this place is, there are so many booths seeling absolutely everything from 'designer' purses to tiffany and co jewellary. We both found amazing new purses, which is just on time because our old ones have been through hell and back and were beginning to fall apart!

The next day we travelled about an hour outside of Chiang Mai to the Monkey centre! it was so cute, the monkeys put on a show where they show all they've learned at monkey school, this includes how to pick coconuts from the tree, and go shopping at the market, ride a bike, shoot basketball, and even count. It was hilarous and we were happy to buy a tun of bananas for all the monkeys in the place. At the end a woman pulled us aside and asked if we'd like to take some pictures with a two year old monkey. I can't even begin to tell you how hilarious and insane this experience was. the monkey, names Natalie was absolutely nutty, she started off on jennie's shoulder destroying a piece of orange (most of it landing in Jennie's hair). Then she decided that that was enough so she leaped onto Emily and started crawling all over her head while the trainers were yelling "natalie No!" For about 15 minutes she continues to leap between us with no warning and even stole Emily's water bottle straight from her purse at one point! We were both laughing hysterically the whole time.. what a cheeky monkey!

After that we made our way to the Tiger Zoo and were able to pay a little more to get into the cage with three four-month old tigers to take pictures! they basically slept the whole time, but they were soooo cute!
