Hi everyone

Tomorrow I will be in Buenos Aires for 2 weeks already! Time flies when you are having fun 😉. Which I really have. I didn´t even post a message on my blog earlier, because I was busy busy busy, can you believe that? I actually thought I would have plenty of time, because I´m not working anymore.

The hostel
The hostel where I´m staying is very relaxed. There live around 20 people from a lot of different countries. I especially hang out with Amarins (also Dutch) and Lourdes (an Argentinean girl, who is my roommate as well). The hostel offers a good lunch every day, which I usually eat. At night all the South Americans eat again at 6PM and at 11PM. I don´t understand why they are not getting fat!! The previous weekend I went out to some clubs and the women are sooo skinny here…Unbelievable. It seems that eating disorders occur a lot over here, because all the girls want to be extremely thin.

Spanish Lessons
I´m so busy with my Spanish lessons: I have private lessons almost every day for two hours, which is very intensive. On top of that I have to study a lot if I want to learn very quick. But because everything is new, it is quite hard…

Salsa
Last week I also started with some salsa lessons: I have had three lessons until now and I really love it!! The lessons cost around 5 euro for a 3 hour lesson and the dance school also offers some nights to practise (which I tried last Friday). These evenings are still difficult for me, because they speak Spanish sooo fast.. So I´m only able to understand some words, not the whole sentence and so I never exactly know what to do 😉 Haha…

San Telmo
The previous weekend I went to San Telmo, a neighbourhood in Buenos Aires which is famous for the tango dancers and you have a local market there with interesting second hand stuff.. Of course I bought a dress (because I don´t have enough dresses yet 😉 We watched some tango shows on the street: Very impressing! I also saw the house of the president, Christina Fernández. It´s the pink house you see on one of the pictures.

Besos! Marjan

Heej Marjan, Ik heb vanuit Zuid-Afrika toch nog even de tijd gevonden om over je zuid-amerikaanse avonturen te lezen, en dat ziet er goed uit! Hele mooie foto's, vooral die van dat typische straatbeeld in Buenos Aires. Geniet ervan!! Groetjes Geertje
