Pete's friends and me Australia day woohoo! After two weeks out of the country it was good to be able to get a little slice of Australia back into our cold and rainy days. Meeting up with my mate Pete and his girl friend Megan from Australia during the day we strolled over to the ‘Woolshed’, an Austrtalian pub in the heart of Dublin. As soon as we arrived it felt like home; lots of green and gold, a bbq going out the front, a surfing balance machine (After a few beers it proved I was extremely unbalanced) and lots and lots of drunk Aussies. The entire bar was decked out in Fosters merch which is pretty funny considering you can barely buy it in Australia and no one would ever drink it there either. It was good however to be able to drink Aussie beer’s and buy it by the jug as well.
The day was pretty fun. We met a fair few cool aussies, one of which held the balance surfing board challenge at 32 seconds until one of Pete’s mates took 1st place with an outstanding 39 sec’s (much better then my 3 seconds) and also got everyone
playing this drinking game which ended up involving a heap of people in the pub during the day.
Bee decided to head home during the evening and I stayed on for a couple more hrs chatting with Pete and Megan and catching up. When I headed home I decided to try and find a different bus to go home on because apparently I had been catching a bus that goes all around the world to get to where im staying. 45 mins later and a phone call to be and I ended up waiting for my normal stupid bus anyway just as it started to drizzle.
Overall was an a pretty good day, wish we could have an Australian day every month while we are over here!
Herro, Bee Dandy time. Australia Day was fun, however it made me a lil bit...not home sick...but friend sick hehe
Note: Smic only went on the surfing board because he spilt my drink down my top (this happened to me TWICE except the second time was some idiot and a jug of beer...and people call me unco!). I have video footage of the full 3 seconds he was on
Mmmmmm Tooheys
Need I say more? the board if anyone would like to see 😉. To give him credit, I suppose it looked hard!
Things I learnt:
• Jim Beam in a can has a slight peanut butter taste
• Sasuage sizzles are yummy in Dublin too but they call it “beef snag”
• Australians carry aussie flags whereever they go
I may or may not have gotten a bit lost on the way home. I got off at the right bus stop but it was pitch black & all the streets looked the same. This group of about 6 kids that looked about 8-9 years old asked me if I was lost and said they liked my shoes. I thought they were going to steal my shoes so I said I wasn’t lost hahahahaha.
That’s all from me xoxo.

Hey ballbags!!! Loving the blogs, sounds like you and your young lady are having quite the beginning to the trip. Apparently it has been rather cold over in Europa, lucky you, people keep dying of heatstroke over here at the moment, its fucking hot. I just realised I forgot to tell you to drink LECH...so, if you can find it...Drink LECH. It's awesome. And it's Polish. Trust me. Nothing new happening in Sydney..still mourning the loss. I'll try and call you again soon Bro. Cyabye.
