hi all

we we made here to perth. we landed wed 8th jan 3pm local time that was after 3 flights and yet another night with no sleep! ( airport floors are not comfy!)
our friend dave who we met on our last trip picked us up from the airport and we went to stay with him in fremantle. he is house sitting for a lady who is traveling for a while she has 4 dogs and hundreds of bird/budgie things. Finally i could stroke a dog without the fear of getting rabies(its very likely in indonisia)

the 2nd night we got a 40 minute lift off dave to rockingham where our friend chris lives with his wife who is about to give birth any minute. after getting seriously drunk we crashed out ready for our 1st experience of body boarding the next day. it was cool. the waves down at secret harbour are very good( incidently very close to where a man got eating by a great white only the week previous!)

so it was back to daves for a night then we took the ferry on sunday to Rottnest island, so named as it is the only place were little kangaroo/rat type animals called quokkas live. they are so cute. here we had our 1st experiece of sleeping in bunks at a hostel (cos it was 2 expensive to stay in hotel) it was ok actually and we lived on cheese on toast for 2 days.the island was nice and relaxing and we have just arrived back.

so the plan is to borrow chris' camper van and go on a little trip down south- but as most of you know we usually make it up as we go along. we are popping into perth tomorrow to meet another bloke we met last trip.

so Oz is cool although it is way more pricey then we anticipated. 2 quid for a loaf of bread 13quid each for a bunk (we were paying max 18quid for a nice hotel in indonisia) 20quid for a crate of 24 bottles of carlsberg! wine is cheaper about 5quid a bottle so im turning nick into a wino!luckily we have good friends which is keeping the costs down and petrol is pretty cheap so we are sorted in the van.

keep leaving messages people we love hearing from you all

bye for now x

Hello from Neil & Sam
G'day, Try the Yalumba wine in a box - does the job ! If you can, get to Banbury to see the dolphins, Bussleton to the pier for great Barramundi and chips. Have fun
