Me patiently waiting for a water taxi
This river is as busy as the roads here in Thailand on our way back our boat actually hit another boat coming into pick up the passengers. The boats come in every 20 minutes not sure how many passengers they hold but we had to stand all the way to our stop. Today we left to explore Bangkok. We took the sky train all the way through downtown to the Chao Praya River where we took express water taxi to Khaosan Road. The whole day was spent walking to locate a room for tomorrow, where AJ and Alison will be staying with us when they arrive.
This street is backpackers heaven .The rooms are $25 a night, nothing fancy but clean with a rooftop pool. The best part is they are in the heart of everything ,so we will not have to go far to see things once they are here.
After this adventure we had to travel all the way back to the other side of the city the same way we came. This is a huge city with a mixture of old and new. Markets everywhere and strong odors of outdoor cooking stalls, traffic, the whole thing can be really overwhelming for a little country girl. Ron missed our stop on the river taxi, so we had to go all around again on our way back.Needless to say we are both putting our feet up now and ordering room service.
A good nights sleep is in order as we have to

Thank you
Am getting your blogs....glad to hear you are enjoying yourselves. Just thinking of AJ...he should be ONLY another 8 hours to Tokyo...I've been tracking his flights and IF he was on them they all seem to have been on time.
