Merry Christmas!
Velené vánoce! (Czech); Frohe Weihnachten! (German); hanging on Libor and Thomas' door. I'm not sure if I've already told this story, so you'll get to hear it again.
One night last week, I decided to take a shower. I know, you're shocked. Kristy is probably squealing with glee about making a joke that I'm dirty or gross or should shower more often. I know you too well. Anywho, the lightswitch for the shower-room is outside of the room, so we like to play a game in my apartment of, "make so and so take a shower in the dark." It usually only lasts for a few seconds, maybe a minute , before the person caves and turns the light back on. Well, on said night, I was in the midst of shampooing when the lights went out for me. I didn't think much of it, and went on my merry way until they came back on. However, when I got out and went to my room, the light was off there, even though I'd left it on. When I tried to flip the switch, it mysteriously would not move. Because it was taped down. I got the tape off, and took a quick survey of my room. My mouse
Huh?
Why is there ribbon around the door handles? was taped to my desk, my wallet was taped to my desk, my chair was taped to my desk, my shoes were taped together, the remote was taped to the tv, my desk drawers were taped shut, my closet doors were taped together...interesting. After marching into the other room, I found the Czech all giggles and proud of himself for his ingenuity. I have to admit, it was a pretty good one. I told him to bide his time, something was coming in return.
Since last Wednesday, he's had a class everyday that goes from 8am-3pm. I seized the opportunity. Today, I woke up early and acquired the necessary materials and got underway. After enlisting Thomas' help to leave their door unlocked and him looking at me and saying, "You're such a child," I began my opus. He went to buy some Christmas presents, and when he came back and saw the progress I'd made, he heartily joined in, encouraging me to continue and do more and more and more. When the Czech arrived home at about 6 o'clock , he was adequately shocked and in hysterics.
Payback's a...well, you
know.
