Melbourne to Echuca
Very, very dry all over.
Walked along the Murray, in Echuca, into the CBD. Checked out the information centre about paddlewheel boat tours.
Went to the Echuca Workers club for a couple of beers. We are such interesting folks!!!
Free wireless in the Echuca Caravan Park. 2 hours a day. But we were online and got talking to some folks and our time ran out. It was refreshed again the next day. What a novel idea. Free wireless!!

Echuca
Did a paddlewheel steamer boat ride. On the Emmy Lou. Not a restored riverboat, but one built for the tourist trade. We had an hour and a half trip, down stream for half of it then back to the dock. We were just about to dock when we were told we could stay on for the next trip, upstream. So we stayed on for another hour and a half. Not many passengers so anyone could stay.
Lots of really big houseboats tied up alone the river. One pretty small one had a for sale sign, $130,000. So I wonder what the big ones would sell for?
Shopping again. Mostly looking, not too
much buying.
Back to the Workers club for a beer and dinner. Good food, good beer and really good prices.
Really noisy, all night, birds. White with yellow. Will see if we can find out the name

Echuca to Gundagai
So you try to pronounce those names, you North Americans!!!
Stopped for a beer at Ettamogah Pub!!.
RAIN. Don’t know what the final amount was, but I suspect any rain at all in Victoria would be a godsend. And the lower part of NSW, too.
Caravan park in Gundagai was ok. Nice grass site, but the amenities weren’t that great. Little or now pressure in the hot water tap!! So no showers today.
Rained pretty well all night. Lots of water in our pail.
Went to the Gundagai Services club for dinner (and beer). Really good Chinese food. Decided to have desert and a special coffee. TOO much, both over stuffed. Doesn’t make sleep very good!!!
We have been neglectful in letting you know of our latest passenger. We actually picked up BHOT quite a while ago. A very, very distant relative of OT. We will try to get a picture uploaded.
How about Bobble Head Ozzie Turtle??

Gunadagai to Camden
On our way to meet up with a newly found cousin. Our family genealogy expert, Phil, has been doing some research in Australia and has found relatives on the Cheetham side of my family. My grandmothers name was Cheetham.
Nice caravan park, but the amenities were upstairs (our second floor, first floor here). Cloudy, but no rain.

Camden to San-Souci (Sydney, both of them) Woke up to bright sunshine.
Had breakfast with my new cousin. I think her great-great grandfather and my great-grandfather were brothers. Will have to get my act together when we get home to get the family tree updated. And start a broader search for Sigsworths.
Really nice breakfast and we talked for a couple of hours, not much genealogy and it was time for us to make another visit to a lady that Linda used to work with. Once we found our way through the maze of Sydney suburbs to Coogee we had a wonderful afternoon visiting with Linda’s ex co-worker and her family. She took us for a walk along the ocean, it was beautiful.
Wino' that we are,
it's off the the Hunter Valley!!!
