A moment to reflect

As you can guess it's me writng not Gord as he is doing his talk (Films- do they influence life or does life reflect them-or something intelligent like that) panic i'll have to think of something interesting to talk about next week. Oh bye the way Rob yes we may be teachers but its the computer that can't spell!!!!! well often seems to miss out letters at any rate. the keyboards really small well thats our excuse anyway.
So life is still hectic, we get up quite early each morning (actually the mosquito net falling down around us normally wakes us up. Its stuck up with sticky pads cos we didn't think to bring a drill with us and the ceiling is concrete so the hook won't go in (sorry Tom don't mean to sound ungrateful thanks for the loan of mn. but your experience of how to hang it up would have been useful!!!) Actually its not to keep the mosquitoes out its to stop the very large spider that Gordon refuses to kill, and the pet mouse from running over us in the middle of the night. not quite 5 star as you can tell but as we said its free accommodation. So can't complain.














Off to eat at the night market later as a treat.not sure whether to have fish head, toad or rabbit, dog not on the menu tonight..........( they eat anything here saw them all alive and dead n the market didn't feel it was appropriate to take photos of the dogs in cages or hanging up, who am i to say whether it is right or wrong but i don't think i'll be eating dog well not knowingly anyway.)
A few of us are going to eat.meeting so many fellow travellers, alll with something in common. So many people think when you decide to pack up annd go that maybe you are running away from something or trying to find something, Searching for that something special.... but we all agree it's not like that you just want to do something maybe you haven't done before. Just a bit of an adventure. Like the people we have met, who knows whats next, where we will be or when it will end. But actually none of that matters because we just enjoy the now! Laurie the volunteer organiser has been trying to persuade us to stay and help out for longer or teach (paid!!!) We could easily get work for the next year, but no we have 2 weeks left volunteering then more places to go and people to meet. life doesn't stand still so neither can we, well not yet anyway. so until the next episode................
