We will meet again Well hello there,
What pure joy it was to read your poem and yet again you fill me up. I hope your trip was everything you dreamed of - I have no doubts of that. What are you doing now in France and how are you settling in? I hope to visit you one day in the not too distant future and share another night of wine, smokes and endless conversations (oh and by the way - I am still looking for these bloody satelites!!!!!!)
I too am now back home and what a feeling it is. Sadly I cannot say I'm loving it and I'm thinking "what now"? I guess it's just the shock of coming home, on my own, and starting from scratch without Ciaran (he is still in Oz) Contemplating heading back to Oz for a year and giving it a go with some real work in Renewable Energy. It's all pie in the sky at the moment though as I'm only back a week and still trying to put my finger on exactly how I feel about things.
Anyway, keep in touch and let me know about your next big adventure in France.
Good luck

Great Wish it had been me, But I was their with you in spirit, and was glad to hear your tales when we were with you in France. You were still in to food and drink but unfortunetely this time it was for others,.
This not only captures what you expected, what you hoped for and what you experienced, but gives others the privilege of sharing it. Obviously a magical time, now a magic shared. Each time you write something new Gordon, you give your readers expectations- so now on your future travels we need a blog (travel writing) and poetry. What next? Thank you for sharing it.

here in thailand Glad ot see you're still having a great time on your travels. I'm in Khon Kaen for the next week or so. If you're up this way I can show you around!
Hello Kitty! not Hi Watch out for adults wearing Hello Kitty armbands, it's a punishment imposed by the police for minor offences, a bit like community service in the UK. Except maybe they will turn up and maybe there will be someone to supervise. (with more than one GCSE grade F qualification in social studies) Hope you guys are lapping it up, I am so envious I cannot say. ATB
Lifes a beach!! Hi you two and GEORGE! How great that you are here. Sorry we've been a bit lapse in our correspondence (very lapse really!!!) but you know how hectic things can be here on the beach in Goa!! But we are fine and miss our next door neighbours. Sundowner drinks are not the same now!!! We only have 3 days left till Blighty so please think of us in the freezing cold!
Sounds like you are still having an amazing time. Happy and safe travels and will get in touch when we get to Scotland. Big love to you all and have a great time George. Love ya lots from the Groupie and half of the Bongo Brothers!!! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Choo Choo I am thinking of writing about the train journeys separately there are more to come.
Scanner is safe and sound and will be returned. The movie must be available as a download by now!!
You can buy most things in local chemists but nothing mind expanding these days...
loving your work! Hi guys, really enjoying your blog. Definitely seems as though you guys have fallen in love with India as much as we have. We're missing it badly already!! Lots of love. Ciaran and Lisa
Train 17 hours on the train and no comment about it?
The trains of India are special and probably have the largest bureaucracy in the world. They range from regal splendour to a single plank. If only Paul Theroux had done India as well! So Gord how is that Zen coming along now? I never understood that book you lent me (which I returned) BTW you still have my bloody book, "A scanner darkly" which is now a priceless antique. Never did see the film of it.
Beach Pharmacy? I have just recently read Roger Moor's autobiography. He mentions a stay in Goa and that at one end of the beach was a Pharmacy which sold "everything" in the way of chemicals. Of course our Gord would not be interested (in this incarnation) but I just wondered if it was still there.
Missing? No just hiding in India Hi Dick;
Great to hear from you! Just posted our latest update, been a bit lazy over the festive season.
Got another ready to roll which should be online by Sunday!!
Cheers

Liu san jie Hi; Thanks for the message and the information we didn't have a translator with us at the show but were still blown away by the spectacle of it all.
You must get to Yangshuo if you get the chance and not only for the show.
Xmas in Goa Great to hear from you both. have you set up a blog yet?? Really looking forward to getting to Goa and meeting up again. Let us know when you are settled and if you can recommend a cheap room nearby for us!!
Gord and Sue XXX
The name of the night show is Liu san jie(Third Sister Liu). Very famous in Zhuang people. I enjoyed this show(in the stage) in US, which was for the Sichuan earthquake. Really amazing. The story is with a quirky twist, the song lyrics are rhymed and show Liu is very smart, brave and upright. I just hope that I could see the show on the Li river.
Happy Birthday!!! Happy birthday Gord! and hi Sue! Been following you avidly and it all sounds and looks so wonderful.
Well we are off in the morning and can't wait to catch up with you both in person again - ooohhhh think of the noise we will make!!!
Sue I have to make a confession, I have packed 7 pairs of knickers this time, I know, what a let down I am.
We miss you both and think of you often, SEE YOU SOON??? Big hugs to you both, Trace and Mike XXXXXXX
Hair? Bag! only a sister would dare say that!!!!!
Although I haven't dared go to a hairdressers here cos i'll end up with black roots and blond (or yellow! as the chinese kids describe it) hair.
Why Travelwash? It's our own soap...there will be a new story each time but with the same main characters.
The story so far...
It is funny how life sometimes takes a hand in sorting out your plans. My name is Gordon and my wife Sue and I were convinced we would go travelling before we had children. We were then certain we would take them with us. The kids left home, we sold the house, we were going to move to France and rebuild a barn but that could take up a lot of time. So I bought Sue a book called 1000 places to see before you die which sounds a bit final so we are going to see how many... full info
