Hello Again Everyone! Yes thats right i some how managed to go on another massive holiday which im gonna tell you all about!
For those who dont know im out in South America for two months with three mates from school who are on a six month trip (Thomas, James and Daniel)
Lima, Peru
First stop Lima where i met the other boys in a hostel in a district known for its bars called Barranco. We had a jolly old natter and caught up on the last months events i tried to complain about the 22 hour flight i had just got off but it didnt really compare to thier epic bus journey from brazil (a week and 5 20hour buses). Theres not a great deal to tell about lima its full of smog and not a lot else! had one big night out where james dan and tom ended up in the sea! We also went to Dan's Aunties in lima for a lovely dinner with her family and they told us all the stuff to do in Peru!
Pisco Four hour bus to Pisco a place which was hit badly by the massive earthquake
here in september last year! We arrived late evening, and even then we could see the devestation there was just rubble everywhere! After checking our selves in and managing to book a tour for early morning we went off in search of food and even though lonely planet says dont walk the streets at night we found it ok just the normal stares and managed to find a standered little place playing 60s & 70s music videos! The owner/chef (large sweaty guy in a vest) was great fun and we just about communicated he made us all chicken and chips which was scrummy and then he took a picture of us all with his family (as you do).
Next day up at 6 for a quick breakfast ond off for a boat trip around some island off Paracas (poor mans gallapagos islands). One very very bumpy speed boat ride later we arrived at these islands, it was just like something out of planet earth beaches of sea lions and cliffs of pelicans penguins and such like! After boat ride we ventured out on a bus into the dessert like reserve on the headland of paracas and enjoyed a amazing fresh
fish lunch! In the late afternoon evening we took a bus down to Ica and taxi to Huccachina.
Huccachina Randomly met the tour guide from Pisco on the streets of Ica so he got a taxi with us and sorted us out a hostel and we were in the bar for a liquid dinner shortly after!
Next day we awoke to find we were in a tiny little village next to an oasis surrounded by 200m high sand dunes!
The highlight of Huccachina is ment to be the sandboarding so off we went late afternoon
Met our driver and the dune buggy in town and we clambered in and off we went! The sand boarding was really good fun although we found it very difficult to do it standing up and quickly resorted to lying on the board where you can get up some good speed! The Highlight though has to be going around in the buggy doing a few jumps and tight turns it was just like a rollercoaster!
The evening was again spent in the hostel bar!
Next day we went to the nearby city of Ica to get our bus tickets for the evening and
spent the afternoon climbing a 250m high sand dune behind the hostel 40mins to climb up 30seconds to come down! worth it though.
In the evning we got on a 22hour bus and headed for Cusco

Hey Guy Here in rainy England visiting Nana and your Dad - just took a quick weekend from Zurich where I had biz. Belated congratulations on your job and the lucky oppty to play before you have to put on suits every day! Great to see and hear your take on Peru - I'm definitely adding it to my list of must see places. Have fun, cheers>>>
