Well, my 5 weeks are up and I'm back at home in Calgary. It's good to be home after so long. Our trip was good. We got to the airport but had read our tickets wrong and went to the wrong terminal in Paris LOL We read Terminal 1 but that was actually the terminal we arrived in Toronto at and so we had to get on the shuttle train at Charles deGaulle and go back to Terminal 2. Of course it dropped us off at the complete opposite end of the terminal than the end we had to get to so we had a very long and arduous walk to the Air Canada counter. The airport, of course, was extremely busy and it's at times like those that you notice all the terminal design flaws! Anyway, we got through and the lines at the check-in and the passport control and the security stations were surprisingly short. As we were waiting at the gate, we heard our name being called so we checked at the counter and they had decided to give us a free upgrade. It was really great! First class comfort and treatment for the 8 1/2 hour flight to Toronto. I actually slept on the plane! Usually I can't sleep but the 3 glasses of champagne, glass of red wine and a glass of port really helped! I would never have done that in economy class lol (On reflection, maybe I was passed out and not asleep! LOL) The flight was good and we arrived in Toronto as scheduled. Our flight from Toronto to Calgary was pretty good, too, though no upgrade there! We got home about 7 pm and I was thrilled to see my puppy, Dezi, again....as well as my cats. Dezi isn't a puppy anymore though! LOL She was almost 5 months old when I left and now she's 6 - a full-fledged dog now! Five weeks in a puppy's life is a long time! I plan to add a couple more blogs to this site before I stop. I want to write one about what I learned in France and one about some tips for things to see and do based on my experiences. Since I woke up at 5:30 this morning, I think I'll go lay down for a while!

Bonjour de France
Nous sommes bien contents de vous savoir arrivés à bon port. Je pense que Sandi va avoir beaucoup de travail pour faire un résumé de tout ce qu'ils ont vécu en France. A bientôt
