my fav meals from switz..chicken curry sandwich yummm
hey mates,

we spent our last day in switz 😞 with cheese and as of our return from interlaken we went to the blue balls music festival in luzern. it was really crowded with people, not so much music, but very popular with the locals. i talked a street vendor down from 80 franks to 30 franks for a wooden mask but then decided i didnt have anywhere to pack it so i opted not to get it. cheese made us a great dinner our last night there consisting of pork spare ribs, macaroni salad, and 2 types of sausage. it was the best!!!! cheese and his parents really took care of us over there it was a shame to leave.

the next morning we caught a 1st class train ride from luzern to rome with one change in milan. as we partook in our ac, free snacks, free drinks, super comfy chairs, and great conversation with an italian lady, we noticed the alps disappearing and graffiti appearing. it was quite a change of pace because switz was so clean and beautiful and now were "in the shit."

we arrive to roma and our 1st impression is its
romaromaroma

our 1st look into this beautiful city ;)
very hothumid and dirty. we were expecting a very clean romantic place and its kind of like LA with great architects. we finally find our hostel called the yellow and after getting lost in the bar we were directed by an aussie girl to the reception. we get our hostel room and meet our 4 oz roomies with sweat faced grins as we just made the 5 flight grind up the stairs. the elevator looks really scary so we dont take it very much and i dont think the 2 of us could fit inside it to be honest.

our 1st night here we eneded up meeting about 10 people and playing a retarded game called mafia. it was a good ice breaker and we found out almost all of the people playing were traveling solo. the people are really cool and the hostel bar is also great but thats as far as it goes. actually our room makes for a great sauna and we sweat al through the night with our 6 person hostel. as far as the 1st night goes we just hung out all night with the canadians, aussies, and americans and had a nice laugh.

we then met up with 4 of them and decided to see vatican city. we took the metro(subway) over there for 1 euro! id say within 10 minutes we lost pj and coli from ohio. they wandered off as we went up the steps to the sisteen chapel and didnt see them again until we got back to the hostel..oops.

tonight we are going to this pub crawl and im actually running late so i have to finish this later...and tomorrow the colesseum..

talk to you all soon

ciao

alan

Whew
Glad to hear you made it and are finding people to hang out with. Invest in a leash so you don't lose each other anymore!

I want you to watch your wallets in the country of my family. Don't miss the Trevi fountain, the Coluseum and the Italian gals. Just make sure that none of them are related to me! When you travel down the coast from Rome, don't miss Pompeii, Salerno and the Amalfi Coast( you have never seen a road on the edge of a mountain like this) DO NOT GO TO NAPLES UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES! IT IS THE WORST AND UNSAFE. Venice is great and enjoy the countryside more than the cities. Have fun and stay safe.

Graffitti or not I want to go see the beautiful chapels and fountains!
