This is on the Brasilian side of the falls
They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but to show you photos of Iguazu Falls just wouldn't do it justice - it's loud, grand and just takes ones breath away every time you turn around.

We spent 2 days at Iguazu Falls. The first day, we spent on the Argentian side, which allowed us to get up close (and VERY wet) to the falls. Most of the group opted to do a boat ride around the falls but some of us chose not to (because we were saving our pennys to fly over the falls the next day). We were entranced by all the waterfalls that we saw, especially with all the rainbows that appeared to rise into the sky with the spray of the falls.

The second day we spent on the Brasilian side, which gives you a much broader perspective of the falls and how grand they really are. We also went into the Devil´s Throat (which is part of the falls) and boy did I get wet!! Some of us even did a helicopter ride over the falls was also amazing.

We also visited a bird park, filled with all sorts of birds

and reptiles including parrots, eagles, snakes, turtles and tucan birds. I even got to stroke a tucan bird - he was just sitting there, placid as one can be and to get up so close and personal to him was awesome. He´s beak seriously looked like it was made of plastic. I even held a parrot out the front and did contemplate holding a snake (seeing if that might cure my fear of the creatures) but in the end I just couldn´t bring myself to do it.

Till next time
Brooke

PS I know you want photos, and I promise that they are coming!
