Sadly the Irish summer is in full swing, the River Liffey brims full and people dart under eaves or scamper under umbrellas to avoid the rain, the glorious sunny days of May seem to have taken their leave, and so we too decide to join them. We’re pumped full off vaccinations, armed with a pocketful of malaria tablets, and are fit to roam wherever inspiration, friends or divine guidance takes us for the long slow journey home.

So we leave Ireland the way we came - on the boat, which sort of makes us feel as though we’ve come full circle. Things are somewhat altered since we arrived - We’re now engaged and a wedding looms on the horizon, and now we travel with the weight of the Euro behind us - but it’s just us again, no plan, two backpacks and with enough memories to last us a lifetime, and the promise of many more.

Rather than pictures of terrific sites from our time here in Dublin, we take with us precious memories and snapshots of all the good times shared with wonderful friends, who for a time all called Dublin home. Travel is all about the people you meet, those friends who fill your moments with joy, fun and laughter. In Dublin we hit the jackpot.

It was hard to say goodbye, so we hugged and said instead: “farewell friend, until we meet again”, placated by the promise of some future rendezvous. Leaving Ireland the distance seems far greater, particularly from our Irish, French, Polish, Portuguese & Spanish friends. We look forward to seeing our Kiwi and Aussie mates back down under, and hope it’s not too long before we get a visit from our European friends!

Until then, stay with us on our journey and thanks for all the glorious memories, magical moments and crazy fun times over the last year - Dublin just wouldn’t have been the same without you - quantam leaps and bounds.

Here´s a few pages of photos reflecting our favourite memories.

Besos and *Hugs*

Newgrange
What did you think of Newgrange? Isn't just the most amazing thing to consider that they only had one day a year (and needed to see the sun on that morning) to calibrate the whole design and yet they did so with such amazing precision - and not a GPS in sight!

Newgrange
It was amazing. When we were there we were really lucky actually as the morning light filled the chamber almost completely (as it would on solstice) so there was no need for them to turn on the artificial lights! Magic!

looking forward to seeing you in Melbourne eventually - though at the rate you travel that mightn't be for a few years yet! (Much better for the planet though!)
