Exams had just finished and i was straight out the door again at 4am friday morning to catch the morning ferry at new ross.... It was being planned for about the past year, so we all sat at the edge of our seats with our eyes practically closed and every part of our body crossed as we watched munster fight to reach the Heineken Cup Final..... However, a few minor heart attacks later and we managed to make it...

Of course no family trip of ours could EVER go smoothly!!!We arived at new ross a good few hours too early (thanks to mother dearest) and then the horrific news was broken to us. We were delayed another further few hours, so by the now the wait was getting INCREASINGLY longer...but fear not, the sea of red that could be seen for miles were most content to chear, chant, drink and honk their horns for as long as need be. When people say the munster Following were the greatest in the world, they most certainly weren't wrong. There was nothing that could keep us down. For most, we had paid an arm and a leg for tickets, many would argue that

Pats et moi...
they really would of gladly sold an organ on the black market in order to be at this occassion. Those who regretfully missed the spectacular 2006 win were NOT going to repeat the same mistake and anyone who was lucky enough to make it most definitely wanted to experience it again....

We arrived at Penbrook later then expected but our spirits were still pretty high. The following car journey however proved ever so difficult, the dunch somehow managed to change the settings for the belt he had on in the jeep so after a while it locked and he was pinned into the car seat, ha ha...words can't even BEGIN to describe how hilarious it was to watch a 6"5 dude struggle to even move a millimeter..ha ha..okay jokes aside twas bloody well awfull...but meh..i guess ya had to be there...

Mother wanted to stay in Newport as she was born there so we all aggreed to stay at the holiday Inn here. I couldn't really complain at all about the hotel. Everything went swimmingly there....The craic in the hotel was simply delightful..we all behaved extremely well of course, early nights for us all..the following day it was straight to cardiff for the match of the year..

The streets of Cardiff were by then a clowd of red. You almost stopped in your place to look at anyone who wasn't wearing the colour red, it appeared almost "ODD" after a while to be honest...you nearly felt naked without it....Fans could be seen everywhere sporting gigantic hats in the shape of a glass of heineken or waving Huge foam hands....Nothing at all like it...No other team in the world could possible attract such a following i do believe...

the atmosphere was UNREALL..i know the phrase is totally overused but the atmosphere really did make the whole day...Millenium stadium was enclosed from the top which enhanced the experience and everything...The Delayed ferry, Painfull car journey and the EXTREMELY early mornings were most definitely worth it as we watched in amasement as Munster soared upwards...They were unstopable...

The Munster army were once again given their money's worth..
