Howdy all......sooooooo i'm currently in the lovely city of Melbourne!! The weather here is not much to speak of.....very English one might say!hehe But it's a really cool place to be and there's lotts to do :D

Let me begin by telling you that the Qantas Club Lounge was soooooo nice!! There was unlimited free food, soft drinks, alcohol, internet etc.... and the toilets were really nice too!!haha It was brill to be there, especially as my flight was delayed by 45mins too!!

As soon as I got to the Hostel I met this other English girl called Hayley who had also just arrived from Auckland! It was brill as we both want to do quite a few of the same things, so we've kind of paired up now and I have someone to wander around and visit the sights with!! yay

Yesterday we went to the Melbourne Museum which was reallllllly interesting! It had this intruiging display on the human brain, how it works etc.... I think we must have spent about 3 hours in that section alone!! Was sooo worth it though!!hehe

We met up with my cousin Nathan and his gf Robin for lunch which was verry scrummy.....it was good to see my cousin after all of these years too!! It's crazy that last time I saw most of them I was about 11 months old, a time of which I have no concious recollection!! After lunch we went back to see the rest of the museum and then went to watch this African Adventure Safari movie in 3D at the IMAX theatre....was truely lovely....as though I was there with the film crew and the animals!! ooo I do love a good 3D movie!!hehe

Today we went to the famous Queen Victoria Market. It was MAHUSIVE!!! Took us about 2 hours to just walk around all of it!! It was worth a visit though, and I may go back before I leave the city to pick up a few things...oh dear I think I may end up having to buy a bigger suitcase :P!!

I think our plans for the rest of the day are to go and take a leetle looky at the Melbourne Aquarium and the observation deck. Should be gooooooood 😊 There's a comedy night at the hostel tonight too so hopefully that will be a laugh, rather than me sat there covering my ears at the sheer badness of the jokes!! I'm sure it will be the former however!!haha

A trip to watch an AFL match may be on the cards for Saturday and i'm going to Nathan's on the Sunday for a meal....Neighbours night on Monday and a trip along the Great Ocean Road on Tuesday.....hopefully i'll fit lotts more in inbetween, but those are the plans atm!!!

i'm so relieved...
