Red Head

So I'm a red head again. One of the ladies in the church here is training to be a hairdresser and wanted someone to practice on, so I let her dye my hair. It may however have been slightly too ambitious of her to attempt that so soon in her studies, as I now have a lovely bright red forehead to match my lovely bright red hair. Oh well. It'll come off with some scrubbing, and she did dye my hair pretty well to be fair. I'm going to buy her a hairdryer before I leave, as she can't afford all the things she needs for the course so that'll help her a lot.

So I've been back in Concepcion a week. The time has well and truly flown by. I haven't really done much different to normal. Stared at my essay a bit. I seem to have hit a wall and can't bring myself to write another word. Hopefully that'll pass soon. I finally got around to handing out some of my questionnaires on language use for my dissertation I hope to write next year. So now I just have to pray that I actually get some completed ones back!

I can't believe I forgot to mention this in my previous entry, but while I was in Asuncion I went to my first ever football match. It was amazing fun. The stadium was really tiny so we had an amazing view, and we were in the 'preferencia' seats (i.e the best ones) and the tickets only cost us about £2. Nice!

My fan has started working again, which is excellent timing as the 'cold' weather has well and truly finished and we're back up in the 30s again.
