Busride Nepali style
If you're heading for serious adventure, let's start with a simple bus ride. We always used to sit on the roof ... the reason for that is simple. There's no space left in the bus and it's less dangeous since u can jump off in the very last second when it's about to roll over. Ni hao world ... How r u doing out there in your remote places ? We hope the spring is spoiling you with the first warm sunbeams. If you're still curious about how we're doing on our trip and what happened over the past days, take a short break, sit back and listen for the breaking news from Asia. Nepal definitely impressed us a lot with its warm and mystic charme, the open-hearted people, its various flavours, roots, traditions and certainly the stunning nature. We always tried to give our maximum respect and jumped at almost all opportunities which this amazing playground has to offer. After some serious Rafting action in the Bote Khosi river and Canyoning (Abseiling) in the rocks and waterfalls of the highlands near Tibet, we set off for a 7 days trekking tour in the Lantang region, north of the Kathmandu valley.
The mountainous landscape welcomed us with all its beauty and we even got a chance to get in touch with the traditional simple life of the village people. Highlight was the ascend of the world-famous Tsaerko-Ri, which measures 5000m.
We were very sad to leave Nepal yesterday on April, 07th ... We think the timing
Talking about busses again ...
Do you know the death road in Bolivia ? Forget it ... if you are in search for the ultimate trip which will keep you heartbeat on 200bpm constantly, then sign up for a tour from Kathmandu to Syabru Besi. 119km in 10h, a winding dirt road .. just insane, we are still paralysed and shocked. was very good since tomorrow is election day and the crowd in the streets was already freaking out. After a long flight via Lhasa and Chengdu we found ourself in Beijing, the capital of China and host of the olympic games 2008. China, to be honest wasn't the hottest item on our list, for sure there were and still are plenty issues and odd things going on, but ... let's try to not be to critical and political, we try our best to face the country with open minds and positive manners. After a long day and walk, incredible sights and amazing food discoveries we will crash dead tired into our bed. Tomorrow we need to be fit, Irina already started the training for the great wall marathon. We shall buy a sim card very and post our new temporary phone number in the blog very soon.
Take gooood care yourself, ride on and hang lose !!!
