It all began in Shanghai

Hi Everyone,

So we arrived safely in Shanghai on the night of the 31st of March at 22:00. It was a longer flight than we expected and we both arrived quited tired and ready to sleep.

But alas we had to get to the hotel. Now that was a challenge. Having the forthought to print the hotel's details in chinese first, really didn't work. Our taxi to our delight didn't have seat belts, which we later found to be the norm, however at the speed he was travelling I thought I was going to die at least 3 times!!! After arriving at the hotel, at the wrong entrance and being over charged, we were offered no assistance was our bags, damn over night staff and no brand standards!!!

We had two full days in Shanghai, and they were filled with sight seeing and wandering through the endless shopping malls. The sights includes Old Shanghai, Yu Garden, The Jade Buddha Temple and The Bund. We also went past the Dumpling Shop, that Coxy visited on Coxy's Big Break, the line was round the corner.

The Grand Hyatt Shanghai, was the highest hotel in the world and we were staying on the 80th floor. The view was amazing.

We head to Beijing tomorrow for the next leg of the trip. Hope all is well back in Australia.

The hotel is located in the Jin Moa Building, which is the highest hotel in the world and we were on the 80th floor.
