Holy Kimchi this week has flown by...come to think of it so did last week but I'm not complaining! Lets see...well I didn't actually do much other than work! I got a jump on my report cards and only have about 25 left which is exciting! I set up a table in the one spare room and worked in there as I'm not all that good at concentrating in my room!
Claire is starting to show signs of a normal gate again she's excited as are the rest of us!
My classes have been alright although I am starting to get pretty bored with a couple of them. I can only take so much of the alphabet apparently! Although maybe I just need to find some different alphabet games to play with them. My kindergarten planted seeds for science and we talked about flowers. When I asked them to give me names of different flowers Anna got all pissed off because she didn't have a flower like Lily! I was like well Lily was named after a flower but nooooo she didn't want to accept that and kept bitching about not having a flower named Anna! I've learned to just roll
my eyes and move on and eventually they do to! Now I'm dealing with them them checking their flower pots every 5 minutes because some may have sprouted!
I tried a new Korean dish and liked it, that's about 5 now that I enjoy a lot. This one is a wait for it...spicy, yes I know in Korea! Spicy Chicken with noodles soup...apparently it's made with red pepper paste and coke, I may attempt it one day!
Claire and I made pizza again and it was delicious yet again. I really need to find more things to make though because I can't live on stir fry and noodles!
I bought a new camera! I can't wait until it arrives. It's a Canon EOS XTi (digital SLR) and I got a bag, extra battery, 2gb memory card, remote and USB card reader all for $684. Annette one of my Korean coworkers bought it online for me because she has an account and gets points for purchases so I just gave her cash. Cash I received in what Mike calls the 'Magic Envelope'! YEAH first pay day! I went to conversation club with over a grand in my backpack, thank god Korea
is a relatively safe place!
I also bought a plant because I needed something alive in my room. I have named it Agnus and hopefully I can keep it alive for more than a week! It was $10 including a very nice ceramic pot. It has been my first purchase other than books in Korea! Tomorrow I am going to venture out and see if I can find somethings to make my room more homely...like some curtains perhaps because right now I don't have any and although the glass is frosted I would like something to block the sun. I would also like a new blanket and a couple more pillows.
So anyway back to school. Today we went to Good Friends which is like a gym for kids. My 2 classes did roller blading and let me tell you it was hilarious! I wish I had tapped the whole thing because I could have won some funny video competition! Naturally Anna got in a fight with a couple of the other kids but it blew over quickly and we had no other problems. Than we walked back to school and they ran when I told them to walk and
I gave them all a lecture when we were back at school and they all did the "We're sorry Megan Teacher" with their eyes at the floor! Than we played simon says which they LOVE and I continued with my "simon says blow Eddie a kiss" and they all did it and he blew them back! I have started calling him Romeo now because he kisses everyone! Then I taped them singing one of their fav songs! They are so cute when they sing they get so into it! For graduation we have to get them to sing a song and Claire thinks that my Neptune class should sing "I'm too Sexy". It would be fabulous I think!
Anyway that's all for now...oh I've been invited to my first Korean wedding! Irene one of my coworkers is getting married in a couple weeks and she was kind enough to invite me! Have I mentioned that I love my job!
Miss you all! (Oh if there is anything you want to send to me Claire is heading home for a week at the end of April and my mom is going to give her some stuff of mine so yeah!)
