Hello from the North of Thailand. We are very sleepy and lazy right now so just a quick update. We are in beautiful chiang mai thailand, enjoying the cooler weather, the spicy food, the kind people, and much shopping. Only a week into our trip and we already have to start packing the spare duffle. There are just so many things to buy.
Today we made our way up to Doi Suthep (mountain) looking over the city, and visited a beautiful wat.
Last night, we cruised the River Ping on a dinner boat.
There has been a fare amount of lounging to boot. Overall, we would agree with travel and leisure magazine that chiang mai is one of the best 10 cities to visit. Great combination of city services and villiage quaintness.
Tommorow we are sad to leave, but I bet none of you are feeling that sorry for us. We are off to the beach in Krabi Thailand, and then on to an island on MOnday. Did you see the movie, "The Beach." That will be us, although sadly, with less Leonardo DiCaprio and happily, with less cannabilism.
