I’m sitting here in the departure lounge, waiting for my flight. If my laptop time is correct, I still have a little over two hours til I leave. Awesome.

I ended up sleeping an entire 1 ½ hours last night, that’s all I allowed myself by the time I was tired. I was pretty much packing up until the time I left my house. Hopefully I have everything.

Had to send a lot of stuff home with Kat, cos some of the liquid items I had were too big to carry in hand luggage. I obviously have no idea about anything, really should have done my homework! Also found out that I should have taken the receipt for my camera, so I could claim my rebate for it. Ugh. Ahhh well, what’s $25 when I’ve made a habit of ruining and replacing a camera at least once a year?

As expected, tears flowed as I left. I don’t even want to know how everyone was after I left. I shed a few tears when I was in the line for customs, but stopped pretty swiftly once I realized people were looking at me. The tears will come once

The only thing I could find with the word Auckland on it!
I realize that this is actually it. Holy eff, what am I doing here?

I was lucky enough to get “randomly selected” for an explosives test. I got a free frisk out of it, so that was fun haha.

Awww the girl sitting opposite me is reading what is obviously a letter from a friend, and crying. She’s making me want to cry. Must stop looking.

I went through Duty Free and sampled a few squirts of perfume, but didn’t buy anything. I honestly don’t think I’d have room for anything anyway.

I’ve got all the good luck charms a girl could ask for, and they’re all on me in some way, don’t worry!

Don’t really have much else to say, but will keep you updated. Not sure when I’ll get an internet connection, so by the time you read this it will probably not be of any use. Better to write it all down before I forget, I guess!

You know, I got to work this morning (monday) with heaps of email updates to your blog. I'm so proud that you wrote it all down and uploaded when you could like you would. And yay for the first HooRoo photo!

Those damned explosive tests! I was lucky enough to be 'randomly' selected 5 or 6 times in the past three years.
