My table
This is just the beginning process....long way to go but it has been fun. Today, Thursday, a group of gals got together to do some mosaics. Lois had gotten a hold of a bunch of small ceramic pieces at a garage sale so we all pitched in to cover the cost and came up with our own thing to make the mosaic on. I had this table that I got on a "trade" for some bunk beds that were in my camper. I sanded and painted it and then decided to make the mosaic on that. I think that I may have gotten in over my head b/c it will take awhile to make. Then I have to do some work on my chairs but I am not sure that I will be able to finish those this year.
Saturday we have a painter coming. He has agreed to work for about $32 a day and we can work with that. He comes with great references, very few teeth, and seems like a nice guy. You can look forward to photos of him and the work. Wait till you see the colors Mike chose! Our place canNOT be missed, that will be for sure.
The wind was down a bit today and the
Mermaid Mosaic
This is very detailed and will be awesome when completed! Done by Lois (aka Ernie b/c her hubby is Bert--and a real doll!) locals are moving in on the beach. Lots of tents and vehicles. So far, they are only in the neighboring arroyo. Should pick up as the weekend nears.
Jim and Brenda Lewis are flying in on Tuesday so that will be fun. We are looking forward to their visit. It was kind of a last minute thing and they got a GREAT deal so that is a good thing.
That is about it for now.......
