22 Days in Mexico/Central America.
Courtesy of the GAP Adventures website, a map showing where we will be travelling on the Mexico/Central American part of our journey. Few things are more exciting than only having 4 hours of work left, then knowing you don't have to come back to the office for SEVEN weeks....well maybe retirement....but thats a long way off.
Packing is mostly complete, bit of a different experience packing the backpack for this holiday compared to previous trips. (you wouldn't believe how much space a ski jacket can take up!)
Weight reduction is a priority. Having to lug a backpack around everywhere makes you think twice whether you really need to take all the lonely planet books we got for 40% off at Borders. Quick tip on packing to save more space, roll up the t-shirts and pants, amazing how much extra space you end up with (extra space in my backpack actually means extra space for Soni's shopping, hmmm maybe I can foil her plan by taking the ski jacket).
I have attached a map showing the Mexico/Central America part of our trip. We get one night in LA before we get there, probably go to Graumans Chinese theatre to watch '10,000 BC' or some rubbish.

Space saving!
Hey guys! Exciting that the trip is almost here! One tip - you might have done this before, but we used the vacuum bags to really squish down our clothes. Works a treat! Only downside is you end up cramming more clothes in, which, you guessed it, makes the bag heavier. If you're going for a small, weight-limiting bag though, it's a boon. Have fun!
