Having had an enjoyable time staying at the Jail House in Christchurch,
we were now ready to discover what New Zealand had to offer.


We loaded up "Jucy Lucy" (our hire car) with a tent and cooking equipment etc,
and off we went for the start of our next adventure.


We'd heard about the penguins and fur seals.
And we wanted to see them.

So now the search is on................

But they are not here this time of year, wish someone had told me!!!

It CAN'T be cold!
It's NZ! It's, er, [checks calendar] still summer. UNLIKE HERE. And anyway, that seal thing was just YAWNING. Enjoy the moment!

It can't be cold!
The wind comes from the south pole, so it is freezing when it blows. And that fur seal! Did you see the size of his teeth?
