Ok it's a fair cop...
I had a tent in my bag.... It was freezing cold when we arrived in Christchurch at 2am.
And it wasn't funny when we were harassed by the security there.
They wanted to know whether our boots were dirty!
Turns out they were worried about the aussie mud All camping equipment, had to be cleaned before it could enter New Zealand...
Also, my treasured tea bags where spotted along with the creamer for Skims coffee!!!
These were taken to be checked for bugs!!!!
(Now would we use it, if it had bugs I ask myself) An hour later having had our boots cleaned and teabags etc returned.........
Some smart arse spotted something with his scanner - That did it!
"You got a tint"
"A what?" I said
"A tint"
"A what?"
This went on for a little while. Then another guy said " He means a tent"
"Yeah we have tent, but it's new!"
"Ok you can go through"
So it's now 4am when we finally made it through customs, freezing cold and nowhere to go.
We sat and waited for morning to arrive, before heading off to jail...........
What!!!!
Three days for carrying a tent.....
