Cairns to Christchurch

Harry PotterHarry PotterHarry Potter

Goodbye my friend, you will be greatly missed. And for my nephews, I'm not really an evil uncle Ronnie....

Our last few days in Oz before heading to Christchurch.

Booked into Njoy hostel because it was close to the airport and there was a free shuttle to the airport.
Plus we were returning "Potter" our trusted friend.

Our first job was to clear all our belongings from the campervan.
So much stuff, looked double to what we started with!!!
Then it was a major clean up for "Potter".
(The company charge extra if you return them dirty)

With a tear in my eye I returned him the next day....
The company seemed suprised that he was so clean, but he deserved all the extra attention!!!

Cairns turned out to be wet, wet, wet, from the day we arrived to the day we left.
We did find time to go for a walk about, but we weren't that enthused about the place.

The beach was like all the others - EMPTY
However they did have a man made lagoon for those that wanted to swim,
but the weather as I say was WET.

Flew with Virgin Blue for the first time - Cabin crew were a great bunch of

Not a bad room, but we couldn't understand the morning room inspections!! Reminded us of army barracks and the "stand by your beds" routine....
comedians and kept us entertained all through the trip.
