FestivalFestivalFestival

When we arrived in Sri Rangapatnam..some 8km from Mysore, there was a festival going on for the elections.
From Hampi we made our way to Ooty, stayed a couple of day in Mysore first, very crowded city but that is where the palace of the Taj Mahal is...so we couldn't miss that! We stayed in a little village outside the city with the name of Sri Rangapatnam.
We stayed about a week in Ooty where we went horse back riding, motorcycle driving through the mountains (2600m altitude!). We also spent some time in a village we were invited to where I learned how to dance like a real Indian woman! I also learned some Baduga language and Thomas learned to play cricket and also to dance with the boys!
It was magical....As you will see on the pictures!

Nandi is the 5 meter high bull vehicle of Shiva. It was carved out of solid rock in 1956 and is one of the largest in India! Impressive!
