Kottayam & the backwaters

We spent a week in Kottayam, hosted by a christian family. We've seen the backwaters but because of the heat and humidity we haven't done so much there...
We were invited to perform poi at a little girl's birthday party,that was really nice and just hung out.The sceneries were amazing!

These are all over the place... very cute little things with a see-through body!

Not very smiley...they are not used to foto's but they were laughing the rest of the time

Banana tree leafs
Gigantic, everybody has plenty of banana trees, coconut trees, jackfruit tree, mango tree in their garden! Amazing

Bridge in Aymanam village
This is how they build a bridge, they fill up bags of sand and put some wood on top and this holds trucks, buses...everything and when it goes down they put some more bags!

Main transportation
In Aymanam everybody is able to ride such a boat because the water is everywhere and some places are not linked by road

Truck transportation
With 2 small boats and wooden planks...incredible!
