Well......... the weather at the moment is just like home, i.e. pouring with rain, & has been since yesterday. So nothing much to report apart from the fact that I am missing Sharon & the kids & everyone really, so I guess feeling a bit homesick. It seems that I am ok when i am busy & have something to keep my mind off things.
Yesterday, I went to the day market & took a few pictures of the local scenery + a couple of custom bikes for Jake.
Today, I met another American called Mike Neun, an ex comedian & really nice guy. I went with him to the golf driving range & met a couple of his friends. Very relaxing considering the weather. I hope to meet up again soon for some lunch.
Having experienced problems with the internet at my last place of lodging, I decided to move to another guest house. A much nicer place for an extra £1.00 a night. So far the net seems to be working better........... only time will tell. Still at least it is in the middle of the bustling Loh Khroi road.
Hopefully the weather will clear tommorow, & I will be able to go further afield on the bike again. Chaing Mai is a great place, but I think I have seen enough of it now. I am really looking forward to going to my placement next week. I have booked a flight for lunch time next Wednesday into Udon Thani, the nearest airport to Nong Khai.

Hi Shaun, Great blog! Sometimes when you live here in Chiangmai you forget just how fascinating it all is. Great to see it through a newcomer's eyes. I just wish I'd retired and moved here ten years earlier. Mike the comedian
