of the gang waiting patiently
A cloudy day dawned, but the sky dive was booked, and they phoned to confirm, so we all set off at 10 oclock to the Ballistic (otherwise known as Peroxide )Blonde Skyjump shed near the airport. The whole family gathered to watch Jen jump, then we were all to have a picnic followed by birthday cake. BUT, the clouds got darker and the wind got up - then it may be ok - just 10 minutes or so - it looks as if it will brighten - and suddenly YES we'll go now. Suddenly Jen was crammed into a tiny plane with 5 young men, and off they went. We watched as 2 of the lads parachuted to the ground, one landing exactly on the blue spot, then the plane was lost to sight. It has to gain greater height for a tandem skydive. We held our breath, and then they appeared, but the plane was landing - the weather was not good enough after all! So she gets to do it all over again. Anticlimax? Maybe, but we'd had a good gossip and a catch up with the news, and Jen got an extra flight, and now she'll know what

Happy Birthday
Hi Jen, Happy Birthday from your rellies in Australia. I was eagerly reading the blog and scrolling down wanting to see the picture of you diving through the clouds - but alas, there wasn't one. However, I shall keep watch!! Perhaps you will get another opportunity very soon and a beautiful sunny day to go with it.
