Saying goodbye to the family
Ole!

Right, I thought i would do my first blog to test the water and see if this works. I have learnt a few lessons along the way of planning this trip as I have never travelled on my own before. I have 5 weeks before I start the first leg of my travels and already hit into problems. Some of it was logical which I didnt think of but hey, they don't call me Ditzy for nothing! ha! Ok here is goes the list:

1. When applying for your Indian visa - always tick MULTIPLE ENTRY! I dont think I did that and had 4 weeks of sheer stressing but I got it anyway - I think British get it automaticlaly but I''m not sure!!!
2. Don't bother thinking too much about backpacks - it's slowly driving me nuts as I have gone and bought 2 ( one is gonna be returned) and trying to pack is a nightmare.
3. Get ure money sorted as soon as! Start a savings plan and get an ISA.
4. If travelling on own or even with someone, get on Gap Year .com coz i tell ya, i have made some good contacts that I am gonna meet up along the way but also beware there are some complete and utter nutters on there!

Ok enough of this. As the count down continues, I am getting really nervous ( as some woukld say "she is spazzing" - u know who are!) and keep thinking I am forgetting something vital.

Anyway, next time I write on here will be when I get to India after 16th Jan!

Bye!
