Pam and The MuskratPam and The MuskratPam and The Muskrat

She wasn't really stressing like this, just a little. See The Muskrat being encouraging?
Today was better. I moved the phone from FOH to the green room. That is what I got accomplished. All day.

We got up super early for an early call, so when I was getting to work here, people at home were just getting to bed. I made some calls, but no one answered. Bummer. Oh well. I made my job today to make sure Pam was taken care of. She was feeling pretty stressed and unsure, so The Muskrat and I made her laugh. On top of the video gear, The Muskrat sat during the first session with a sign that said, “Go Pam!” (See pic) I went to the mall (next door) to look for postcards and get out of the venue. Pam also sent me there to get her some good German chocolate. I prayed for her, then wrote out a few verses her to remind her to rely on God. The Muskrat’s new sign read “¡Para ti!” (which means “for you” in Spanish.) Underneath was chocolate bar and the note. I guess it made her day. At this point, my job is to be an intercessor and encourager. The Muskrat too. At least with Pam, we’re

feeling useful.

After the second of four sessions, The Muskrat got commandeered by the stage crew. Apparently, they have a tradition of having something on the set that moves every session. Last year was a lion, this year is The Muskrat. Pretty funny! The LD really doesn’t like The Muskrat but thinks it’s funny that they do it.

I had a very interesting shopping trip to buy wine (for the LD). Apparently you have to have ,50 euros (basically 50 cents) to get a shopping cart, and you have to pay to get a plastic shopping bag. Didn’t know this. This is one thing I don’t like about this country.

When I wasn’t buzzing around the mall, I was chatting with the German boys. We asked lots of questions about culture and life and stuff. One said, “Yes, we have women leaders in our church, but you are the first woman technician I’ve ever known or heard about.” Funny. He’s 22 and got a baby brother today.

We all went out to dinner again tonight. Conversations were hilarious, and it was weird being with a bunch of people from church, and they were doing shots. Flaming ones, at that. Tomorrow there are lots more sessions with nothing for me to do, then the load out.

Two praises: 1. As you know, I’ve been sick. Since I’ve been here, I’ve been feeling great! Not drained or anything. 2. In July, someone said they thought they had a Word from me. He told me and didn’t know what it meant, and I didn’t know what it meant. But today, I walked in on a drama rehearsal, and they used the same phrase. All at once, I knew what it meant! Pretty cool that two random things from two different parts of the world with two different sets of people could be connected by God and mean something.
