Overcast most of the day today and now raining. Hope it does not last. Went for a walk in the Conway Range National Park and then Paul hung around the swimming lagoon in town while Lois did the shops.

A relatively new development in Airlie Beach. There is another one being developed by the same company at the other end of town.

?? Big Spider?? Big Spider
?? Big Spider

We assume this is a spider’s nest of some kind. Maybe someone can enlighten us. Is about the size of both my hands clasped together.
Clever Bird.Clever Bird.
Clever Bird.

This bird has very long thin legs but manages to crouch down and camouflage itself very well. Looked just like a dead branch from the distance. We have been unable to find it in our bird book so again maybe someone can enlighten us as to what kind of bird it is.

Hi. I hope you enjoy your travel in Australia. I am not sure that it is a Spider nest, I think it could be an Ant nest, Green Leaf Ants. And the clever bird is a Bush Stone Curlew
