Welcome to Oktoberfest!Welcome to Oktoberfest!Welcome to Oktoberfest!

The main entrance to the largest beer festival in the world :)
After a few delays in traffic we arrived at the Munich airport but failed to catch Kennah as he had already left for our camp site. So we headed there to find Kennah and Brendan (Hawk and Kennah's friend) already checked in and ready to drink.

Oktoberfest is frickin' awesome, its similar to the PNE back home with rides and festivities but about 50 times larger and beer tents that house up to a few thousand people (the largest beer festival in the world). On average they consume three million liters of beer a day. Drinking beer, a liter at a time, I found myself intoxicated quite quickly and when the gates closed that first night we had already lost Kennah somewhere and when Hawkshaw and Brendan went to find him, Brendan came back without Hawkshaw as well. Luckily, when I awoke the next morning back at our camp, Hawk and Kennah had made it home somehow with some interesting stories to tell. So the next 3 days we spent in Oktoberfest was more or less a repeat of the previous day, waking up, going to the festival and drinking (starting as early as 11AM) until it closed. Upon the

gates closing we found a cool late night bar mall that housed about 10 clubs and you only needed to pay entrance to one of them (10 euros) to get access to all and have FREE drinks in some all night until 5AM.

Well, thats about all I can remember from Oktoberfest... hopefully the pictures will be more descriptive.

On Friday we dropped brendan back at the airport and the three of us headed off to our concert in Poland.
