The next day i turned 24 and got me prezzies. Melissa tried really hard here and i got: wait for it: a singing teddy bear, bog roll(provided free by the hotel!!!), a box of gone off ferreo roche's(spelling!!) and a laundry bag(the bag from the shop)!!! all beautifully rapped in paper from a colour printer. To be fair it was impossible to get anything. Its either cheap shite from a shop or cheaper shite from a stall(id know as i had to wait outside the shop while she went looking. i was like a security guard from the local perv patrol!!). And the next day she totally redemmed herself by booking us into the Shapura house hotel which was easily the nicest hotel i ever stayed in. It was designed in marble and had huge rooms, a lovely swimming pool(especially in 40 degree heat) and the dinner was one of the nicest i ever had(no lie, Jalfezi bleedin beautiful!!) I was a happy camper!!
Also the Rickshaw driver bought me, his dear friend, a lovely bithday card. It was nice of him and the optimist in me(as everyone knows he doesnt really exist!!) wanted to be truly grateful but the
pessimist(yep thats me) says it screamed get me a visa. This only entered my head as he brought up getting a visa and coming to work for us about 50 times. Was also a bit annoyed still at him getting us ripped at the Co Op. Little does he know with his rickshaw he has more assests than me and melissa put together!! So the next day we left a generous tip at the reception desk for him and skipped off into town with lots of time to kill as the train was in 8 hours. Walking around became tough with lots of beggers so we took refuge in an English pub(with english prices) and held up there until our overnight train to Udaipur.

Hey Happy Birthday. I forgot to text you. I remember your birthday every year, being the good fried that I am. Its nothing to do with the fact that Clare's Bday is on the same day. She had a 30th party in the new Tower hotel in Tallaght. Such luxury in such a shit hole..........a bit like your cinema experience in Jaipur!
