1st of all, this post may get confusing as i have little time and the keyboard is one i have not seen before, the letters are all in the wrong place 😊 i return on the 8th of october. It has been difficult to find cheap internet, and when i was in portugal i could not recharge my fone, my stay with karin was amazing, i had so much fun, i saw such beautiful places. then i met up with chris in portugal and we heqded to the beaches, at a place called largos, i will do a map attached to this so you can see, it was beautiful there, the water was very clear and there was gorgeous cliff faces framing the water. i have less hten two weeks to go and i would love to stay longer, there is so much to see and do, i must return.

In lqrgos we were lucky with our accomodation we spent our time there in a studio apartment just to ourselves, with our own kitchen, we also had fox on the tv, but they play the same songs over & over on mtv, but it was a good way to pick up some new music from europe. however the area was 6 km from where madaline dissapeared, being there it is easy to believe the police when they say the parents accidently over sedated her, and got rid of the body, because just behind our accomodation, by two streets was very deserted and would be easy to hide a body for a long time because there i so much land & empty buildings but of course we were okay;

then in barclona, we met up again with chris brand and we went out 1 night to a club, on our way there we met some unusual swiss girls, who ended up weirdly running away from us!!!!! no idea why, i think they had too much to drink. chris & i saw a band performing in the street, spanish, reggae style, i bought their cd. Oh i also now have a spanish cookbook, thanks to Karin for her help to find one, and also for giving it to me as a gift, i can not say how much i enoyed staying with karin. In barcelona, i met chris brands relatives and got an insight into then spanish culture of my grandparents generations, it is very much the man does nothing in the home and the women are expected to do everything, and not let the man go hungry; more on this later. the rest of our time there was spent relxing, i went alone, because the boys were stil asleep to see a church gaudi designed, it is pretty awesome! i as always took lots of pictures!

then i went to basque country, and both chris's went to greece, i stayed one night with some people i had met and they took me out, the basque language is unique, it does not have latin roots, like other languages, most historians and linguists think that basque was alwayqs there, that is why the have the terrorist group to get basque recognised as a country in its own right, but of course, that is not the answer, currnetly they are in some sort of agreement/negotiations with the policia. then i went to san sebastion, where currently there is a big film festival on, people like richqrd gere are there for it! in my accomodation there was a guy whose job it was to select films for other festivals, and he invited me out with his work collegues for dinner, i met some incredible people that night, journalists, website designers, they paid for my wine & food for the eveening because i am from australia on holidays, i learnt that the reason for hte attitude towards women came from a period of dictatoriship, which said women have no place outside the home, this was within the last 100 years, So it stil affects today.

Right now i am on a surfing camp and i half an hour over the border into france whihc is exciting, pleanty of aussies though. there is an international surfing competition going on close by i may get to visit it one day. which would be exciting!!!

i have sent a package home, if it turns up please do not open it because there are presents in there.

as much as i want to keep going, i also want to be seeing my family & freinds again, i miss being face to face, i miss higging people, it is a double edge sword, but pleasureable, i want ot have my cake and eat it too,
