Well If you ever want to know what to bring the locals here Keyboards they really suck here. It makes my spelling look worst then it is. Well Yesterday we finished up in BA. I have not caught up on my sleep, but what the hell it is vacation. I can sleep at work right? Yesterday we went to Eva Perons grave site. I took some black and White photos which I hope will turn out well. The light was perfect and the suroundings were strange, lots of cats hanging around and there was even a funeral there, plus very strange lighting. We also wanted to check out some museums but they needed a day off so They picked the day we wanted to see things. Oh well. there is always the return trip.

Instead katheryn was persaded that a leather jacket was in order, Given her height and that nothing fit her. They offered to make her one for the same price as what is on the rack. Not bad.

We then returned to the hotel and met up with my friend Venesa, it was great to catch up after a year and lots has happen to both of us since our last visit. She took us to a really nice wine bar that you would not find on your own. The prices were more local prices. Good glasses of wine for about $3 to $ 4 dollars. The Rooms were made of stone with high ceilings and lit by lots of candles. Made everyone in the place good. But most of the people were pretty nice looking to begin with. After a drink we headed to another place down by the river. Everything about the cow or something like that. It was Monday night and the place was packed. We had to wait 40 minutes and we got there at 10:30. Some how I always eat with Venesa after 11;00. I asked her when Argentines sleep, she said very little, when they can. We got a bottle of wine and so much meat it was sickening. All different parts, Vegetarians would starve here. There were salads but there was also meat in most of them too. It was all you can eat. and they just keep bringing more and more food. even desert. I was a true Pig. actually we all were. But it only cost about $13 each.

This morning we checked out of the hotel and they tryed to charge Katheryn for most of the drinks in the mini bar. to the tune of 86 pesos, it is about 3 pesos , to the dollar. Needless to say she was not happy with this, and it was corrected after some heated discussions. We did not touch the stuff. Over priced and the wine is so good.

So we have just arrived in Salta, I met a girl on plane from Cordoba, she won a trip as part of a national TV show sort of like a Argentina Reality show. She has been hanging out with us for the day. and we have opted to stay in an international hostel. It was part of the trip she won. She said there were no hotels included only hostels and airfare. It has been awhile for me. They are suppose to have a big BBQ tomorrow night, and we are going to try to arrange a trip to the salt fields for tomorrow. Well More later, Rebecca

Recoleta Cemetary
Know what you mean about the cats--they're the guardians of the Underworld, y'know, so it really shouldn't be a surprise. I remember one tomb in Recoleta that had four or five kitties hanging around outside--there must be something pretty awful in there that they need to keep penned up. Hope yer having fun. PDX misses you. Hoser
